The sound of birds chirping, kids playing and all the people outside enjoying the beautiful weather could only mean summer!
As our complex wakes up from such a long harsh unpredictable winter, there is a lot of work that needs to get done. As you’ve probably noticed the parking lot had a good deep clean. There was tons of gravel around the complex due to the record snowfalls received this winter.
Arborist – This is year two of their five year project. They have been working hard to ensure visual safety around the complex. Trimming back overgrown bushes, tree branches with safety in mind, removing anything that is impacting units and those driving/walking in the complex.
Painters – We are in year two of a three year plan. The painters have started preparing and painting the units that have been slated for this spring/summer/early fall season repaint. If mother nature cooperates the plan is to have 9 buildings painted!! Yeay!!
You may find that some decks, fences, garbage enclosures and retaining walls are not being painted however they are still on our radar. There are many fences, decks, retaining walls and the RV lot that need to be thoroughly assessed and fixed before going ahead with painting. These items have been taken off the list for painting if they are in poor condition until prioritized and addressed.
Eves and Down Spouts – New eves and down spouts are being installed after the unit painting is complete. They finish off the units very nicely and will help with our water run off issues and our freeze thaw season also known as spring.
On August 1st – weed control and fertilizer is scheduled to be done, weather pending. It is advised to keep pets inside until the spray is absorbed, normally two hours after application.
Fire pits – Reminder wood burning fire pits are not permitted per your Bylaws. The fire pits could release a spark that sets units or close by bush/trees on fire, they are also smoking out your neighbor’s. Units noted to have fire pits will be receiving individual letters to have them removed no later than July 31, 2018.
We are working hard to ensure that safety and proper construction practices are top priority. We ask that you bare with us through this process some of these issues are time-consuming to fix and potentially quite costly. We want to ensure we do this right.
