Fall 2020 Newsletter
It has been a long time since the last update, but we are glad to introduce you to some improvements we have made to our Ranchland Meadows community website.
First, we have added a gallery of some photos that have been taken around the complex. We will be adding to the gallery as time goes on, including pictures of the interior of our Recreation Center.

Next, we have added a couple of spots to go to if you have an emergency that needs to be reported. The first is under Concerns/Contact Us, and the second is in the drop down menu under the category First Service.

Also, under the First Service drop down menu we have added a link to the Connect Portal provided by First Service. More about this later.

We have had just a little work done on the complex this summer compared to previous years. There were 6 areas where the existing sidewalks were impeding drainage or just plain unsafe. Our property manager Tammy supervised the engineering and installation of the 6 new pathways. The improvements will be especially noticed in the winter in areas that tended to ice up and in the spring in areas that did not drain properly.

We hired a new arborist this year. We were very happy with their pruning work, and we also had shrubs and trees treated for disease and insects. Meanwhile, our landscape contractors, Rim Rock, continued to provide quality service that makes our large and heavily vegetated property look it’s best all year round.

We are sure you noticed the new signs at the entrances to the property. It was time for a more modern look, and we felt that it was helpful to indicate on these signs which entrance is which. We also had one map on the property that was not complete and upside down – we replaced it with a more accurate map.

The Board is discussing under which circumstances we will be able to rent out the Recreation Center during the pandemic, and we will update that after the next Board of Directors meeting this month.

We are currently being assessed by Telus to implement Next Generation Fibre Network infrastructure and equipment so that our residents can take advantage of the service if they wish to do so. You will be seeing the Telus employees on the property over the course of the autumn. We are unable to provide information on when to expect this work to be done. Please contact Telus for any other information.

Please always feel welcome to contact us under the category Concerns/Contact Us even if you only have a question about the Ranchland Meadows community, the Board or the Board meetings. We have been continuing to meet during the pandemic, by Zoom rather than in the Community Center.

FirstService Residential Connect Residential Portal for Ranchland Meadows CC 8010081

Last year FirstService Residential introduced a new property management software application, which is to say, a website specifically for Owners to access information pertaining to the property and to their own accounts. By using this website you can update your contact information, make payments and view your account ledger and access some important documents like bylaws and reserve funds. There is a link to the First Service website where other legal documents can be purchased.
You can register on the new platform from any device or computer. Here’s how:

1. Visit our property’s website at https://ranchlandmeadows.connectresident.com;

2. From the public homepage, locate the “Create Account” button;

3. You will be prompted to create an account via your email address and then linked to your unit. Please follow the prompts on the web page.
