As we prepare for the winter ahead, we have been working hard to address some long standing items and ensure they are completed before the weather turns. Below highlights some of the big items that have been knocked off the list:
1. Speed Bumps: Have been lengthened, in some cases made into one or removed all together. This will be easier on vehicles and much easier to get over during the icy winter months. Not to mention more comfortable to drive over while serving their purpose – Safe driving within our complex.
2. Curb Stops: The improvement has made them safer and more aesthetically pleasing.
3. Parking Post/Signage: We had to consider many options and regulations while looking to address parking/posts/signage. The new signage and posts are a necessity to put the ability of self regulation back in the hands of our owners. We vetted every possible scenario, below is a list of the main factors we needed to take into consideration:
- Proper parking signage and type of post has been an ongoing issue for both owners, the board of directors and our ability to enforce parking bylaws.
- Sturdiness of the posts is very important for us to ensure they are not falling over or coming out of the ground.
- The location of underground electrical conduit(s) for safe placement of the posts.
Sign visibility and clarity. This is for owners, tenants, visitors and the parking authority.
Placement and uniformity of the signs throughout the complex.
Please note – There will be some areas where we will be testing an alternative system for the parking posts. Taking into account the above factors. Once a sound solution has been achieved it will be implemented as required. Information regarding the parking stall number updates will be sent out to all owners.
REMINDER: Please remember contractors are hired by the board to do specific work. Workers should not have to, will not tolerate harassment or verbal abuse of any kind from anyone while working on site. They are here to do the job they are hired to execute and should not be abused for coming to work. If you have any questions or concerns please contact FirstService and the board of directors at 6915meadows.com.
We will continue to work on the betterment of our complex. We will continue to do our best to ensure that important items and issues are addressed in a timely manner as we move forward. Work is always on going as this is notably a much larger complex than most and requires a lot of upkeep in order to maintain an enjoyable living environment. Please keep in mind things take time (for many reasons) know that we are working diligently to produce positive, well informed results.
Your constructive feedback/concerns are important to us, we all want to protect the value of our investments. Being respectful in your communication is the best way to be heard! Please keep in mind volunteers – your neighbors – are on the receiving end of communications received.
Help us to help you – When communicating a situation/issue we require owners to provide clear and accurate information, as well as any necessary documentation to support your concerns i.e. photos, unit/stall numbers, dates etc…
IMPORTANT: A Town Hall will be planned before the around holiday season. A notice will be sent out through email, website (6915meadows.com) and snail mail ( for only those without email or computer) please expect further details in the near future.
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding as we work on these necessary improvements in our small community!
Sincerely,
Ranchland Meadows Board of Directors
